What To Do If You Feel ABANDONED or REJECTED by a Specific Person?

Hello, welcome! I'm so happy you're here. This is a very important post; it is super, super close to my heart, and it also is a theme that's been coming up in my coaching sessions a lot this week. This post is about what to do if you feel abandoned or rejected by your specific person, or even just in general. What do you do if you are in that position?

Okay, this is a very important post. This is a practice that I implemented in my life probably eight years ago—a long time ago—and it's one of the most healing practices I have ever done. It's something that changed my life from implementing it.

So first of all, the topic is what to do if you feel abandoned or rejected by your specific person or by anyone in your life. And the thing that I do, or this practice, is all about going within yourself and making contact with your inner child. I'm touching my heart because that's really where she or he is—deep inside of you, deep inside your heart. It's a practice of learning to make contact with that part of you that feels left, that feels alone, that feels rejected, that feels unloved. It's learning to hold and love and care for that very tender part of yourself.

The way that I work with my clients to do this is, first of all, you have to recognize when you're starting to feel abandoned or rejected. Typically, this is gonna feel like you have some sort of thought process going on. Let's say about your specific person: you feel like they don't love you, you feel like they've rejected you or they've hurt you. What's likely to happen is your body is going to start to feel panicked. Often, what we do when we feel abandoned or hurt or rejected, a lot of people can start moving really fast because they don't want to feel that. So they start trying to distract themselves and almost trying to push the feeling away. It's like, "I don't want to feel that, I'm gonna go over here."

If you're starting to feel that, you're probably having some sort of experience of being abandoned or rejected. Now, the way to fully dissolve this feeling inside of your being is to not try to push it away. Instead, get very still, close your eyes, and go within. Start tuning into your heart space and literally start talking to your inner child. I'll show you what I do and what I teach my clients to do. You close your eyes, hold your heart, and you can even hold yourself—hold your body the way you would hold a child if they were scared or hurt or having a hard time. You hold yourself, you hold your heart, and you start saying things like, "I'm here. I'm here for you. I'm never, ever, ever gonna leave you. I love you so much, and I've got you, and I'm never gonna leave you. I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere, and I've got you, and I'm right here, and I love you, and I'm always gonna love you. I'm right here."

So that was kind of a short session, but I would suggest doing that for as long as it feels good. Again, this is essentially you holding your inner child. What you will notice when you do this is that the feeling of rejection and the feeling of abandonment and the feeling of hurt are going to completely dissolve. All that is happening when you feel abandoned or rejected or hurt is essentially some sort of wounding is coming up inside of you, and it's usually wounding from the inner child. It's your job to tend to her or him inside of yourself. When you learn to tend to yourself in this way, it's gonna change everything for you.

Number one, you're gonna be able to dissolve those types of feelings right on the spot by doing what I just did in this post. You also are going to attract in a partner who can be with you in these hurt tender spaces, because when we learn to be with ourselves in these very hurt and tender and young spaces inside of ourselves, then we attract in people who can be with us in those spaces as well. This is one of the main healing practices you could ever do. Again, for myself, this changed my life, and yeah, I'm so happy to share it with you.
