In my work as a spiritual and transformational coach, I’ve seen countless individuals struggle with self-doubt. And I’ve also seen how powerful it can be to take just one minute to shift your mindset. It may sound too good to be true, but trust me—sometimes, all it takes is 60 seconds to remind yourself of your inner strength and worth.

So, how can you overcome self-doubt in a minute? Let me walk you through it.

Step 1: Pause and Breathe When self-doubt creeps in, the first thing you need to do is pause. Stop whatever you’re doing, close your eyes, and take a deep breath. Inhale deeply through your nose, hold it for a moment, and then exhale slowly through your mouth. Do this a few times, letting the tension in your body melt away with each breath. This simple act of breathing helps calm your nervous system and brings you back to the present moment, where self-doubt has less power.

Step 2: Recognize the Doubt Acknowledge the self-doubt for what it is: a thought, not a fact. Tell yourself, "I’m feeling doubtful right now, but this doubt doesn’t define me." By labeling the doubt, you create a bit of distance between you and the negative thought. You’re not denying its presence, but you’re also not letting it control you.

Step 4: Visualize Success Close your eyes and visualize yourself overcoming the doubt. Imagine yourself succeeding in the very situation that’s causing you anxiety. Picture it vividly—see yourself confident, strong, and happy. This mental rehearsal can help shift your focus from fear to possibility. The more you practice seeing yourself in a positive light, the more natural it becomes to believe in your own potential.

Step 5: Take One Small Action After grounding yourself with these steps, take one small action that moves you forward. It doesn’t have to be anything big—just something that breaks the cycle of doubt. Send that email, make that phone call, or simply stand up straighter and smile. By taking action, you’re proving to yourself that you’re capable, despite the doubt.
